SEO for Financial Advisors and CPA Firms
Get your firm found on Google and named when a prospect asks ChatGPT for an advisor, a CPA or a tax preparer. Pages for the clients you want, the directories the answers read, and technical work shipped by engineers, written for your compliance review. Plans from $550 a month.
A 20-minute call with the engineer who does the work: we ask ChatGPT and Google AI about your firm type and city while you watch. See pricing, or order the $750 audit there.
Start with a 20-minute call
See who ChatGPT recommends for your firm, before you spend anything
On the call we ask ChatGPT and Google AI the question your customers ask, with your firm and your city, and read the answer with you: who gets named, how many reviews they have, and which sites the assistant trusted. Then we tell you what it would take to be on that list, and what it costs.

The short answer
What gets an advisor or CPA named now?
Being findable in three places that agree with each other: a website that names the clients you serve and how you charge, the professional directories your field uses, and a complete Google Business Profile. In our tests, directories decided the AI answers for advisors and review counts barely mattered. LinkTech Solutions, a Chino Hills team, does this work for California advisory and accounting firms, starting with a $750 audit, with plans from $550 a month.
Why good firms stay invisible in search
Advisory and accounting firms are often the most trusted business in a client's life and the least visible one online. These are the recurring reasons, and none of them is a lack of expertise.
Referrals Dried Up and Search Never Replaced Them
Most advisory and accounting firms were built on referrals. When a referral source retires or a centre of influence moves on, there is no second channel. The prospects are still searching; they just find a firm whose website says what it does.
Your Site Says "Comprehensive Wealth Solutions"
Prospects do not search for solutions. They search for a fee-only planner near them, a CPA for real estate investors, help with stock options, or a tax preparer who handles trusts. A site that does not name those situations does not show up for them.
ChatGPT Names the Firms on a Directory You Skipped
When we asked ChatGPT for a financial advisor in Irvine, every firm it recommended was cited from a fee-only advisor directory. Two of them had fewer than three Google reviews. Being listed, and listed consistently, decided the answer.
Compliance Turned the Website Into a Brochure
Rules on testimonials, performance and claims make many firms write nothing specific at all. Specific is still allowed: who you serve, how you charge, what a first meeting looks like, and which credentials you hold. That is what search engines and assistants quote.
The Regulator's Record and the Website Disagree
AI answers tell readers to check the SEC's adviser database and FINRA BrokerCheck before they call. If your firm name, address or services read differently there than on your site and Google profile, you look less certain to both the prospect and the assistant.
Nobody Can Say Which Clients Came From Search
If the monthly report is a ranking chart, you cannot tell whether a new household or a new business client found you on Google, through ChatGPT, or from a referral. Calls, consultations booked, and the questions you are named for are what should be reported.
SEO for advisors and accountants that covers the path to a first meeting
From the question a prospect types or asks an assistant, to the consultation request. We build websites and software for financial firms, so the technical half is done in code by the same team.
Where AI assistants get their advisor and CPA recommendations
We asked ChatGPT for a financial advisor in Irvine (October 2026) and for tax preparers in Fullerton and Rancho Cucamonga (September 2026), and recorded every firm it named and every source it cited.
Professional directories
For "a financial advisor in Irvine" (October 2026), all four firms ChatGPT recommended were cited from a fee-only advisor directory's Irvine page, with a professional association profile shown as an image. For tax preparers in Fullerton it cited a tax preparer directory twice.
Reviews matter less here
The four Irvine advisors had 33, 2, 1 and 17 Google reviews. In our September study of tax preparers in Fullerton and Rancho Cucamonga, the median was 14.5, and a CPA with 3 reviews was the fourth pick. In this profession the bar to be named is low, and few firms clear it on purpose.
The firm's own website
Each Irvine pick linked the firm's own site, and the Fullerton answer cited two firms' own pages. The assistant described each firm in its own words: who it serves, how it charges, and the credentials of the person who leads it.
Regulator lookups
The advisor answer closed by telling the reader to check the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site and FINRA BrokerCheck. Your website, your Google profile and your regulatory record should describe the same firm the same way.
Answers change from run to run, so we measure monthly and report how often you are named, not a single screenshot. The full method is in how ChatGPT picks local businesses.
The 10 questions we track for advisory and accounting firms
The audit swaps in your services, your cities and the clients you want. Each question is asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, and the monthly report shows who was named for each one.
- Can you recommend a fee-only financial advisor in [city]?
- Who is a good retirement planner near [city]?
- Which financial advisors in [city] are fiduciaries?
- Can you recommend a CPA for small business owners in [city]?
- Who is a good CPA for real estate investors in [county]?
- Can you recommend a tax preparer in [city]?
- Who can help with stock options and taxes in [city]?
- I need help with an IRS notice in [city]. Who should I call?
- How much does a financial advisor cost?
- Do I need a CPA or a tax preparer?
Questions 1 to 8 are "who should I hire" questions, and only those count toward the 90-day guarantee. Questions 9 and 10 are research questions: they show whether your pages are the source the answer cites.
Three layers, in the order that books first meetings
Client situations first, because they decide what you can be found for. Listings second, because in this profession they decide the AI answer. Trust throughout, because prospects check credentials before they call.
One page per client you want
A retiree, a business owner selling a company and a landlord with six rentals search for different things. Each situation gets a page that says who it is for, how you help, how you charge, and how to book a first meeting.
The directories the answers read
Professional directories decide more of the AI answer in this field than reviews do. We get your firm onto the ones your profession and your prospects use, make every listing match, and keep your Google Business Profile complete.
Credentials an assistant can verify
Advisor and CPA bios with designations, licenses and years in practice stated plainly, consistent with your regulatory record, and pages your compliance team has approved before they publish.
Built for firms that want new clients, not a ranking chart
Independent advisors and RIAs, fee-only planners, CPA firms, enrolled agents and tax practices across California and beyond.
Not the right fit: lead-generation resellers, product or insurance sales funnels, or firms that want guaranteed rankings. We will tell you on the call if you are in the wrong place.

A Riverside tax practice, rebuilt to be found
Singh and Sons Tax serves business owners, trusts and estates. Its old site had five pages, listed every service in one block, and had shown visitors a browser security warning for eight months. We rebuilt it as thirty pages: a page for each service, each city it serves, and each service in each city, with the firm's real estate specialty leading the site and structured data tying the firm and its principal into one identity.

- More questions, more locations, more assistants
- Content, technical and local SEO in one program
- Original data and research the assistants can cite
- Monthly report and a call to walk through it
Why three months: the assistants re-read listings, reviews and pages on a lag of weeks, so 90 days is the shortest honest test, and it is the window the guarantee is written for.
How the 90-day guarantee is tested
Nobody can promise you the top spot in ChatGPT. We guarantee a threshold you can check yourself, with the test agreed before we start.
- We agree 10 buyer questions with you in week one. Questions that already name you are swapped out, and none of them contain your business name.
- Each question is asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, three times each.
- A question counts when an assistant names you in at least two of the three runs.
- By day 90, at least 3 of the 10 questions count, or we keep working for up to 2 more months with billing paused.
- The clock pauses while we wait on you for access, approvals or review requests. There is no cash refund; you get the work.
Same plans and prices as our AI SEO services page. For an advisory or accounting firm, the full plan includes situation and city pages, listings, bios and technical work.
Written for your compliance review
Advisors answer to the SEC marketing rule or FINRA's communications rules, and CPA firms and tax preparers to their own advertising standards. We are not compliance consultants and cannot approve content, so every page goes to your compliance officer or responsible CPA before it publishes, and we keep dated copies. These are the things we will not write for you.
- Performance or return claims your compliance team has not approved
- Testimonials or endorsements without the disclosures your rules require
- "Fiduciary" or "fee-only" unless it is true for every client
- Credentials or designations a person does not hold
- Guaranteed refunds, savings or audit outcomes
- "Best advisor" or "#1 CPA" stated as fact
Questions advisors and accountants ask about SEO
What is SEO for financial advisors?
SEO for financial advisors is the work of getting your firm found when a prospect searches Google, checks the map pack, or asks an AI assistant who to hire. For most firms it comes down to three things: pages that name the clients and situations you serve, listings on the directories your profession uses that agree with your website and regulatory record, and a website that states plainly how you charge and who leads the firm.
What is SEO for accountants and CPA firms?
The same work, aimed at the questions business owners and households ask an accountant: a CPA for a small business, a tax preparer near them, help with an IRS notice, or a CPA who works with real estate investors. Local search matters more for accounting firms than for most advisors, because many clients still want someone nearby, so the Google Business Profile and city pages carry more weight.
How much does SEO cost for a financial advisor or CPA firm?
Full SEO plans we run land between $1,500 to $5,000 per month, quoted fixed-scope after the audit. A single-office firm in one city sits toward the bottom; a multi-office firm or one competing statewide sits higher. If AI answers are the gap, the $750 AI visibility audit is the setup fee for every plan, the AI Visibility Starter is $550 a month with a 3-month minimum, and the 90-Day AI Recommendation Program is $1,000 a month for 3 months with a written guarantee, then $500 a month. Every price is on this page.
How do I get ChatGPT to recommend my firm?
Make your firm easy to name with confidence. In our October 2026 test for an Irvine financial advisor, every firm ChatGPT recommended was cited from a professional directory, and review counts barely mattered. So: be listed on the directories your profession uses, keep those listings, your Google profile and your regulatory record consistent, and make your website say who you serve and how you charge. Nobody can promise a position. On the 90-Day Program we guarantee a measured threshold instead: named on at least 3 of 10 agreed prospect questions by day 90, or we keep working for up to 2 more months with billing paused.
Is SEO still worth it for financial advisors?
Yes, with the right target. The broad terms are owned by national firms and publishers, so chasing "financial advisor" alone is a poor use of a small firm's budget. The specific searches are winnable: a fee-only planner in your city, retirement planning for a profession, a CPA for a niche you already serve. Those are also the questions prospects now ask AI assistants, so the same work covers both.
Can you write content that passes our compliance review?
We write it for review, not around it. Pages describe who you serve, how you work and what you charge, which compliance teams approve far more easily than performance or outcome claims. Everything goes to your compliance officer or the responsible CPA before it publishes, and we keep dated copies. We are not lawyers or compliance consultants and cannot approve content ourselves.
Which directories matter for financial advisors and CPAs?
It depends on the profession and the city, which is why the audit checks which directories the answers actually cite for your questions. In our tests, a fee-only advisor network decided the Irvine advisor answer and a tax preparer directory appeared in the tax answers. Google Business Profile matters for both. A few accurate, consistent listings beat a long list of thin ones.
How long does SEO take for an accounting or advisory firm?
Directory listings and Google Business Profile fixes can show up in AI answers and the map pack within weeks, because the bar to be named in this profession is low. Rankings for competitive pages in a large California city generally take three to six months. AI answers re-read listings and pages on a lag of weeks, which is why our programs run at least three months.
Have you worked with financial services firms?
Yes. Singh and Sons Tax, a Riverside tax practice, came to us with a five-page site behind a browser security warning. We rebuilt it as thirty pages written city by city and service by service, with the firm's real estate specialty leading the site and structured data tying the firm and its principal together, and we manage it every month. We also build client portals and onboarding software for financial firms.
Do we need a new website?
Usually not. Many advisory sites live on a template platform built for the industry, and most of the work can happen there. A rebuild becomes necessary when the platform will not let you add pages, change titles or add structured data. If that is your situation, we build sites too, and the SEO continues on the new one.
Do you work with firms outside California?
Yes. We are in Chino Hills, between Orange County and the Inland Empire, and our team is 100% U.S.-based. We meet California firms in person when a project calls for it and work with firms in other states remotely. The pages, listings and technical work are the same; only the competition and your regulator's rules change.
