Dental SEO for Google and AI Search

SEO for dentists that gets your practice into the map pack, onto page one for the procedures you want more of, and into the answer when a patient asks ChatGPT which dentist to see. Procedure pages, local SEO and technical work shipped by engineers, with every price published. Plans from $550 a month.

A 20-minute call with the engineer who does the work: we ask ChatGPT and Google AI about your practice and city while you watch. See dental SEO pricing, or order the $750 audit there.

Start with a 20-minute call

See who ChatGPT recommends for your practice, before you spend anything

On the call we ask ChatGPT and Google AI the question your customers ask, with your practice and your city, and read the answer with you: who gets named, how many reviews they have, and which sites the assistant trusted. Then we tell you what it would take to be on that list, and what it costs.

Can you recommend a dentist in Costa Mesa, CA?

  1. 1. Advanced Dental Care4.9 ★ · 421 reviews
  2. 2. Harbor Modern Dentistry4.8 ★ · 112 reviews
  3. 3. Dentistry At Its Finest4.5 ★ · 506 reviews
The top three practices ChatGPT named on September 27, 2026. Two weeks later the first one was still named in five runs out of five. On the call we run the same question for your practice and city.

The short answer

What is dental SEO now?

Dental SEO is getting your practice found when a patient searches Google, checks the map pack, or asks an AI assistant which dentist to see. For most practices it comes down to three things: a page for each procedure you want more of, a Google Business Profile and review count that win the map pack, and a website that says plainly what you do and where. LinkTech Solutions, a Chino Hills team, does all three for California practices, starting with a $750 audit, with plans from $550 a month.

Sound Familiar?

Why dental practices pay for marketing and still have open chairs

These are the recurring reasons practices spend on search and see few new patients back. Most of them trace to work that was recommended but never shipped, or to a website the practice does not control.

You Are Not in the Map Pack for 'Dentist Near Me'

Most new-patient searches end in the three map listings on a phone. If your Google Business Profile is thin, your review count trails the practice down the street, or your address and hours disagree across directories, the patient books somewhere else without ever seeing your site.

One Services Page Lists Every Procedure

Patients search for implants, Invisalign, veneers, a crown, an emergency appointment or a dentist who takes their insurance. A single services page cannot rank for any of those. Each procedure that matters to your schedule needs its own page.

AI Assistants Name Other Practices

When we asked ChatGPT for a dentist in Costa Mesa and Temecula, most of the sources it cited were other practices' own websites. A practice whose site does not say plainly what it does, where, and for whom gives the assistant nothing to quote.

Your Marketing Company Owns the Website

Many dental sites live on a marketing company's platform: you rent the pages, the content and sometimes the domain. Technical fixes wait in a ticket queue, and leaving means starting over. An agency without engineers cannot fix what it does not control.

Reviews Come In When Someone Remembers

Review count is the strongest signal we see in both the map pack and AI answers, and the practices named first usually have hundreds. A practice asking for reviews by hand, now and then, falls further behind every month.

The Report Shows Rankings, Not New Patients

If the monthly report is a keyword chart, you cannot tell whether search filled any chairs. Calls, booked appointments and the questions you are named for in AI answers are what the report should show.

What You Get

Dental SEO services that cover the whole path to a booked appointment

From the search on a phone to the appointment request, every step is built, measured and reported. We build websites and software for a living, so the technical half is done in code by the same team, not handed to another vendor.

A page for every procedure you want more of: implants, Invisalign, veneers, crowns, whitening, emergency visits, pediatric care
Local SEO for the map pack: Google Business Profile, categories, services, photos, hours, and consistent listings across directories
A review-request workflow your front desk runs after each visit, with no incentives and no filtering of unhappy patients
Dentist bio pages with education, credentials and memberships search engines and assistants can read
Technical SEO shipped in the code: mobile speed, indexation, and Dentist and MedicalBusiness schema for the practice and each doctor
AI search optimization: the pages and listings ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity read when a patient asks for a dentist
City and neighborhood pages for the areas your patients actually come from
Monthly written reporting on calls, booked appointments and which patient questions name you in AI answers

Where AI assistants get their dentist recommendations

In September and October 2026 we asked ChatGPT for a dentist in Costa Mesa and a family dentist in Temecula, several times each, and recorded every practice it named and every source it cited. This is what decided the answers.

Practice websites

In ten ChatGPT answers for a dentist in Costa Mesa and in Temecula (October 2026), 20 of the 33 cited sources were dental practices' own websites. The assistant quoted what the practice said about itself: services, location, and who it treats.

Review platforms

Yelp, Google and Birdeye review pages made up most of the other citations. The business card that opens most answers is built from map and review listings, so rating and review count decide who is on it.

Dentist directories

Opencare, WebMD's doctor finder and a dental directory were cited a handful of times. A complete, consistent profile on the directories patients already use is part of the work; a long list of obscure ones is not.

Review count, again

The practice ChatGPT named first in Costa Mesa on September 27 had 421 Google reviews, and two weeks later it was still named in five runs out of five. In Temecula the first pick had 128 reviews and was named in one run out of five two weeks later.

Two cities, ten answers, 33 cited sources. Answers change from run to run, so we measure them monthly and report how often you are named, not a single screenshot. The full method for local businesses is in how ChatGPT picks local businesses.

What we measure

The 10 questions we track for dental practices

The audit swaps in your procedures, your cities and the insurance you take. Each question is asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, and the monthly report shows who was named for each one.

  1. Who is the best dentist in [city]?
  2. Can you recommend a family dentist in [city]?
  3. I need an emergency dentist near [city] today. Who should I call?
  4. Who does dental implants in [city]?
  5. Who is a good cosmetic dentist for veneers in [city]?
  6. Which dentists near [city] offer Invisalign?
  7. Can you recommend a pediatric dentist in [city] who is good with nervous kids?
  8. Is there a dentist in [city] that takes [insurance]?
  9. How much do dental implants cost in [city]?
  10. Is an implant or a bridge better for a missing tooth?

Questions 1 to 8 are "which dentist" questions, and only those count toward the 90-day guarantee. Questions 9 and 10 are research questions: they show whether your pages are the source the answer cites.

How We Work

Three layers of dental SEO, in the order that books patients

Procedure pages first, because they decide what you can rank for. The map pack second, because that is where most dental searches end. Trust throughout, because patients and assistants both look for a real dentist behind the page.

Procedures

One page per reason to book

Implants and a cleaning are different searches with different patients. Each procedure gets a page that answers the patient's questions, explains how you do it, says what it costs or how to find out, and links to booking. Most of a dental site's non-branded traffic comes from these pages.

Local

Winning 'dentist near me'

Most dental searches end in the map pack. Business profile accuracy, categories, photos, hours and review velocity decide whether you appear there. We run the profile and the review program alongside the site.

Trust

Proving a real dentist is behind the page

Dentist bios with verifiable education and credentials, specialty claims only where the dentist holds the specialty, real photos of your office and team, and before-and-after images published only with patient consent.

Who This Is For

Built for practices that want booked appointments, not a prettier ranking chart

General and family dentists, cosmetic and implant practices, pediatric dentists, and multi-location groups across California and beyond.

Practices missing from the map pack in their own city
Practices with one services page trying to rank for every procedure
Implant, Invisalign and cosmetic practices that want more of one procedure
Practices on a marketing company's platform that owns their website
Groups opening a second office that needs its own local presence
Dentists who want to be the practice AI assistants name when a patient asks

Not the right fit: dental product brands, practices that want guaranteed rankings, or practices unwilling to run a review program. We will tell you on the call if you are in the wrong place.

Why three months: the assistants re-read listings, reviews and pages on a lag of weeks, so 90 days is the shortest honest test, and it is the window the guarantee is written for.

How the 90-day guarantee is tested

Nobody can promise you the top spot in ChatGPT. We guarantee a threshold you can check yourself, with the test agreed before we start.

  1. We agree 10 buyer questions with you in week one. Questions that already name you are swapped out, and none of them contain your business name.
  2. Each question is asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, three times each.
  3. A question counts when an assistant names you in at least two of the three runs.
  4. By day 90, at least 3 of the 10 questions count, or we keep working for up to 2 more months with billing paused.
  5. The clock pauses while we wait on you for access, approvals or review requests. There is no cash refund; you get the work.

Same plans and prices as our AI SEO services page. For a dental practice, the full plan includes procedure pages, local SEO, dentist bios and technical work.

Written for healthcare advertising rules

California bars false or misleading health care advertising, and the Dental Board limits how specialties can be claimed. We are not lawyers and cannot certify compliance, so the dentist whose name is on a page reviews it before it publishes, and patient photos and reviews are used only with consent. These are the things we will not write for you.

  • "Best dentist" or "#1" stated as fact
  • Specialist titles for a dentist who does not hold the specialty
  • Guaranteed results or pain-free promises
  • Before-and-after photos without the patient's written consent
  • Testimonials or reviews that were paid for, filtered or invented
  • Prices or discounts we cannot honor at the front desk
FAQ

Questions dentists ask about SEO

What is dental SEO?

Dental SEO is the work of getting your practice found when a patient searches Google, checks the map pack, or asks an AI assistant which dentist to see. For most practices it comes down to three things: a page for each procedure you want more of, a Google Business Profile and review count that win the map pack, and a website that states plainly what you do, where, and for whom, so search engines and assistants can quote it.

How much does dental SEO cost?

Full dental SEO plans we run land between $1,500 to $5,000 per month, quoted fixed-scope after the audit. A single-location practice in a smaller city sits toward the bottom; a multi-location group in Orange County or Los Angeles sits higher. If AI answers are the gap, the $750 AI visibility audit is the setup fee for every plan, the AI Visibility Starter is $550 a month with a 3-month minimum, and the 90-Day AI Recommendation Program is $1,000 a month for 3 months with a written guarantee, then $500 a month. Every price is on this page.

Which dental SEO company is best?

The one that can show you its work. Ask any company, including us, which patient questions your practice appears for today in Google and in ChatGPT, which practices are named instead, what they will change in your site and listings, who owns the website if you leave, and whether they report on calls and booked appointments or only rankings. Ask for the price in writing. A company that cannot answer those plainly is not the best one for your practice.

How do I choose a dental SEO company?

Check four things. Published or written pricing, so you know the number before you sign. Ownership, so the website and content stay yours if you leave. Engineers who can change the site themselves, so fixes ship instead of waiting on another vendor. And reporting on calls and booked appointments. A minimum term of a few months is normal; a year-long contract with no exit is not.

What is local SEO for dentists?

Local SEO is the part of dental SEO that decides whether you appear in the map pack and in 'dentist near me' searches. It covers your Google Business Profile, your categories and services, photos and hours, your review count and how recently patients left reviews, and whether your name, address and phone match on every directory. For most practices it is the fastest way to more new-patient calls.

Can I do dental SEO myself?

Some of it. Completing your Google Business Profile, asking every patient for a review, and keeping your hours and phone number consistent are things your front desk can do this week, and they matter. The procedure pages, technical fixes, schema and AI visibility work take more time and skill, and that is where most practices bring someone in.

How do I get ChatGPT to recommend my dental practice?

Make your practice easy to name with confidence. In our October 2026 test, most of the sources ChatGPT cited for dentist questions were practice websites, and the rest were review platforms and dentist directories. So: a website that says what you do and where, a page for each procedure, a complete Google Business Profile, a steady flow of reviews, and accurate directory profiles. Nobody can promise a position. On the 90-Day Program we guarantee a measured threshold instead: named on at least 3 of 10 agreed patient questions by day 90, or we keep working for up to 2 more months with billing paused.

How long does dental SEO take?

Business profile corrections and technical fixes can show movement within weeks, and the map pack often moves within one to three months once reviews and listings are in order. Procedure-page rankings in a competitive California city generally take three to six months to become a steady source of new patients. AI answers re-read listings and pages on a lag of weeks, which is why our programs run at least three months.

Is dental SEO HIPAA compliant?

The parts that touch patient information are built to be. Procedure pages, bios and pricing do not handle protected health information. Appointment requests and intake route through your practice software or a HIPAA-compliant vendor with a Business Associate Agreement, never through plain email or a generic form. Patient reviews and before-and-after photos are used only with consent. We document which pieces are which so your compliance advisor can sign off.

Do we need a new website for dental SEO to work?

Usually not. Most dental SEO work happens on sites we did not build. A rebuild becomes necessary when the platform blocks the work: a marketing company's template you cannot change, load times that cannot be brought down, or content you do not own. If that is your situation, we build dental websites too, and the SEO continues on the new site.

Who are the best dental SEO agencies in California?

Judge them on what they can prove. Ask each one to show you, for your city, which practices ChatGPT and Google name today and why, what they would change first, the price in writing, and one practice they have helped get named. We are a California team in Chino Hills that publishes every price, ships the fixes in code, and reports which patient questions name you each month. Run the same questions past anyone else you are considering.

Do you work with dentists outside California?

Yes. We are in Chino Hills, between Orange County and the Inland Empire, and our team is 100% U.S.-based. We meet California practices in person when a project calls for it and work with practices in other states remotely. The procedure pages, map pack work and technical fixes are the same everywhere.
